"Ever Onward, Ever Inward"

INTERSTITIA is electronic chill out music with no real rock or metal content. It's spacy, smooth electro music designed for relaxation and contemplation. If you're looking for stimulation and "get up" music, forget it.

It's the creation of one man, Graham Scala of North Carolina. The name caught my interest because Scala has been involved with some notable projects; I recall HARMONIC CROSS being genuinely eerie and soothing while SOUVENIRS YOUNG AMERICA was a notable alt rock project from the early 21st century. With INTERSTITIA, we have spaced out tones with tons of effects and loops. I can't describe it as ambient because there are some strong beats here, particularly on "Exosphere". If you like retro futuristic sounds, the project becomes more appealing. There are some super cool sounds being generated here.

But on the whole, it becomes rather monotonous by the end and the last track "Ever Inward" really drags. I enjoy the occasional trip into the world of electronic sound but prefer it to be brief, briefer than this record is.
