If you want to experience the musical equivalent of suffocating inside a coffin, KRYPTS is an ideal choice. These nefarious Finns have slowly built up a reputation as one of the masters of doom-oriented death metal. The charmingly titled "Cadaver Circulation" will certainly do nothing to hurt that reputation.

The Finns have always had a handle on rotting slow motion death metal since the days of DEMIGOD. They mix the fetid churn of INCANTATION with the crawling doom of the very earliest PARADISE LOST to create a very oppressive and utterly hopeless sound. We get only six tracks here, but there's no fluff, intros or keyboard futzing around. They start sick and oozing on "Sinking Transient Waters" and pretty much stay that way until the waning notes of "Circling the Between". They do fire away with infernal speed on a fairly frequent basis, but make no mistake, DOOM is the over-riding force behind KRYPTS.

Keeping the album relatively brief keeps monotony from setting in but you WILL feel the darkness emanating from "Cadaver Circulation". An album without compromise...
