“The Enemy: Reality”

The Wolves are hungry in Sweden! This is WOLFBRIGADE’s tenth hunting expedition and as always, they are out for blood. D-beat hardcore has a long history in Sweden and WOLFBRIGADE had been there for most of it. With “The Enemy: Reality”, you get about a half hour of raging, angry rifferama.

They hit fast and hard with no bullshit. No intros, samples or strange instrumentation. Just chunky punk/thrash riffs with an extra crispy guitar sound, machine-like drumming and angry roars divulging the war-like failures of mankind. And that’s about it. It works because the band holds nothing back and they are devoted to their raw yet focused sound.

No real duff tracks here, but special attention should be paid to “The Wolfman”, “Narcissistic Breed” and “Doomsday Dominion”, which are great examples of the Scandinavian d-beat style. “Human Beasts” is a little longer, a little bit more mid-paced and super catchy because of it.  “Hunt The Hunter” brings things to a close with a bonfire of metallic rage.
